Most bunker companies will not publish a price until you call. We publish ours, line by line, because a buyer cannot compare what a seller will not show.

Shell and installation is the structure delivered within 100 miles of Ogden, set, waterproofed, backfilled, engineered, permitted at cost, commissioned and with the household trained. Complete adds the systems every bunker needs at the smallest tier for its size. Fully equipped is the top tier of every system plus every option. Price any combination in the Bunker Builder.
Where the money goes
Buyers often focus on the shell. In a complete Hold 6, the shell is $175,000 of $326,100; the other $151,100 is installation and the systems that make it livable: filtered air from $13,100, power from $34,400, heat and humidity control from $4,400, plumbing from $9,400 and waste from $3,600, each installed. Optional systems add water storage, medical, communications, EMP protection and physical protection. Every system has its own page under Systems, with what each tier includes.
What moves the number
Four things change a quote more than finishes do:
- The ground. Rock excavation and groundwater dewatering are priced after soil testing.
- Distance. Delivery beyond 100 miles of Ogden is added.
- Depth and cover. More earth means more shielding and more excavation.
- Utilities. Tie-ins, a well and septic are separate from the bunker.
That is why our price is confirmed in writing after the site visit.
How it compares
Published market figures compiled by ThePricer put small backyard shelters at about $40,000 to $150,000, prefabricated steel shelters at $125,000 to $300,000 before installation, custom underground construction at about $300 to $600 a square foot, and finished, hardened concrete at $800 to $1,200 a square foot. Our complete reference designs run from about $670 to $870 a square foot installed, with filtered air, power, heat, plumbing and waste included, which puts them in the hardened range. Compare carefully: many quotes exclude installation, freight and the systems.
Land and the rest of the estate
A bunker is often one part of a larger plan. Land, a residence, wells, power for the house and perimeter work are priced separately. Our cost of a private compound page covers each part, with a calculator. For a stand-alone shelter, start with the underground bunkers page; projects start at $50,000.
Reserving a build
A $5,000 reservation deposit starts the site visit, soil evaluation, engineering and design right away and holds your production slot. It is credited in full to your project and is non-refundable because that work begins immediately. Your final price is fixed in writing after the site visit.
