Bunker Systems
Plumbing: running water, hot showers and a working kitchen.
Plumbing is everything that moves water inside the bunker: the interior tank, the pumps that pressurize it, the water heater, the shower, the sinks, and the pumps that lift used water back up, because every fixture below ground sits lower than the sewer line.

How we size it
The numbers
behind it.
Gravity works against you
Fixtures below the sewer or septic line need a pump to lift used water out. Every tier plans for it.
Hot water on limited power
Large electric tankless heaters draw well over 100 amps, which few off-grid systems can supply. We size water heating to your power system.
Decontamination
A shower at the entry lets people wash off fallout or contaminants before they enter the living space.
Interior and exterior
Plumbing covers the water inside the bunker. The Water system adds cisterns, treatment and a well outside.
Questions
About
plumbing.
Is plumbing required?
Every Builder bunker includes at least the Basic system, because a household needs running water to stay healthy for more than a few days.
Where does gray water go?
Into a tank with a pump that lifts it to your septic system, a holding tank or an approved disposal field.
Can we have a regular water heater?
Yes, sized to your power system, or a sealed-vent propane tankless heater in the Premium tier.
Prices set 2026-10-28 from published retail equipment prices plus installation. Brand names describe the class of equipment; we may substitute equal or better equipment based on availability. Subscriptions, well drilling and septic systems are quoted separately.
